Server Components Upgrade
We will be upgrading some components
shortly. One of the immediate components is the GD2 library so that many of the
open-source rendering tools will be able to work (for example, this is how many
gallery tools generate thumbnails).
There after, we will be looking at upgrading PHP to version 4.4 (the last
version before version 5) and MySQL to version 4.X.
With these changes we should be able to allow more scripts to be run as well as
plug some known security holes.

allows us to provide more robust hosting for the same costs to you.
Our newer servers, increased network
architecture and increased performance operations allows us to provide more
features (such as an advanced control panel, push button script installs) in our
continuing commitment to
service.

Server Upgrade Testing Finished
As part of our commitment to
continued high quality service, we will begin
upgrading to Dual Intel Xeon 2.4Ghz hyper-threading servers with 2Gb RAM running
Red Hat Linux Enterprise. After the upgrade, redundancy, reliability and
performance be increased.
We have completed upgrading the customer tools (stats package/control panel/etc) to be more efficient
and friendly to our customers.
We are now formulating a plan for
target migration of sites from the older servers to the new servers. We
will notify each account about the timeline for the migrations.
